No account, no sign-up, no cloud. Your habits stay on your device. The app sends anonymous usage numbers, and you can switch those off.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter: the names of your habits, their schedules, every day you checked one off, your hero and its loot. It lives in the app's own storage on your iPhone and Apple Watch, in a container the app shares with its widget. It is included in your device backup if you make one. There is no server holding a copy, and no way for me to read it.

Habit names never leave your device. Not in statistics, not in error reports, not anywhere. This is deliberate: people track therapy, medication and worse.

What is sent

The app reports anonymous usage to PostHog, a product analytics service, on servers in the European Union. I use it to see whether the app is understood and used — how many habits people set up, how many they keep up with, when they stop.

What a report can contain:

That something happened, by name: app opened, habit created, edited, deleted or paused, monster defeated, loot gained, screen viewed, settings opened, notification permission granted or denied.
Counts and durations: how many habits exist, how many are tended, average age in days, days since the last completion, which of the app's screens a tap came from.
Technical context the analytics library adds by itself: app version, iOS version, device model, language, time zone, and a random identifier generated on your device.

There is no email address, no name, no login, no advertising identifier and no cross-app tracking. Nothing identifies you as a person, and nothing is shared with anyone else. The random identifier is not linked to any account because there is no account.

How to switch it off

Open the app, tap Settings at the bottom, and turn off the measurement toggle. From that moment nothing further is sent. The switch is in the app itself, not buried in a web page.

The rest

Notifications: Reminders are scheduled by your iPhone, locally. No push server is involved, so no reminder passes through anyone's hands.
Payment: The app is free. There is no purchase and no payment data.
Children: Nothing here is directed at children, and no age is asked or stored.
Deleting your data: Delete the app and the local data goes with it. For the anonymous statistics, write me — but since there is no account, tell me roughly when you used it so I can find the right rows.
